Vijay Deverakonda Speaks Against Drug Abuse on International Day

On the occasion of World International Day Against Drug Abuse, prominent stars from the Telugu film industry, including producer Dil Raju, global star Ram Charan, and the sensational Vijay Deverakonda, gathered together with a common cause to promote awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of staying drug-free for the future of the nation.

Vijay Deverakonda, in particular, spoke passionately about his newfound understanding of the issue. "I live in my own world and often don’t know much about what’s happening outside," he shared. During a shoot in Visakhapatnam, a police officer had requested him to participate in a video campaign against drug abuse. Initially unaware of the global significance of the day, Vijay took part in the campaign without fully understanding its importance.

However, after learning more about International Day Against Drug Abuse, Vijay felt compelled to take on the responsibility of raising awareness. "Our country has a huge youth population, and that's why some forces are trying to push drugs onto our youth. Once someone becomes addicted, it's very hard to recover. You don’t need a war to destroy a country; getting its youth addicted to drugs is enough," he emphasized.

He further advised, "If any of your friends are addicted to drugs, stay away from them. In life, what truly matters is health, money, and respect. There’s no point in doing things that can’t give you these. We should live in a way that brings pride to our parents." The message resonated deeply with fans, with many praising the actor for using his platform to raise awareness about the importance of leading a healthy, drug-free life.

The event also saw other industry veterans like Dil Raju and Ram Charan lending their voices to the cause, reinforcing the collective effort of the film fraternity in spreading awareness on such a critical issue. The stars collectively underscored that the fight against drug addiction is not just a personal responsibility, but a societal one that must be fought with unity, understanding, and awareness.
