Rajinikanth Calls Coolie a Next-Level Mass Film, Praises Anirudh’s Powerhouse Track
Rajinikanth, known for his larger-than-life persona in South Indian cinema, recently showered praise on the first single from the upcoming film Coolie. The song, titled "Powerhouse," has quickly gained traction among fans, with Rajinikanth himself calling it a "next-level mass film" track. The song is composed by his nephew, Anirudh Ravichander, who previously gained widespread acclaim for the viral hit "Hukum" from Jailer.
At the audio launch of Jailer, Rajinikanth had publicly kissed Anirudh in admiration of his work on the track "Hukum," even remarking that Anirudh might never top it. However, with the release of "Powerhouse," Rajinikanth has since confessed that this new track surpasses "Hukum" in terms of energy and heroism. According to Anirudh, Rajinikanth himself told him that "Powerhouse" has set a new benchmark in mass music.
Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is being hailed as packed with high-octane, next-level mass moments, and Anirudh believes it could very well be Lokesh’s best mass film to date. The hype surrounding the film and its music is growing, with fans eagerly anticipating what promises to be a powerful musical and cinematic experience.
Anirudh has also shared insights into his working style, revealing that he often starts his work in the evening, collaborating closely with his eight-member team and trusting their instincts. With Rajinikanth’s endorsement and the buzz building around Coolie, fans can expect a film that is set to leave a lasting impact, both musically and cinematically.
