Single Telugu Movie Success: Makers Donate to Indian Soldiers

Single Telugu Movie Success: Makers Donate to Indian Soldiers
Single, the latest Telugu entertainer starring Sri Vishnu and presented by mega producer Allu Aravind under the Geetha Arts banner, is riding high on box office success. Released on May 9, the film has received an outstanding response from audiences across the Telugu-speaking states. Directed by Karthik Raju and produced in collaboration with Kalyya Films by Vidya Koppineni, Bhanu Pratap, and Riyaz Chowdhary, the film has established itself as a feel-good blockbuster in the summer of 2025.

However, what sets Single apart is not just its entertainment value but the heartfelt gesture by its makers. During a press meet organized to thank the public for the incredible response, Allu Aravind announced that a portion of the movie's box office collections would be donated to Indian soldiers who are currently protecting the nation under tense conditions. In his address, he stated that the team originally intended to celebrate the release but refrained from grand festivities due to the ongoing conflict involving Indian forces.

“This is not a celebration. It’s a moment to express our gratitude to audiences and stand with our soldiers. We had announced the release date well before the current situation developed. We did consider postponing it, but with hundreds of people depending on the film’s release, we moved ahead with courage, hoping our intent would be understood,” Aravind said during the event. The film, which stars Ketika Sharma and Ivana as the female leads and features Vennela Kishore in a prominent comic role, was made to deliver a refreshing, entertaining experience. The director, cast, and crew have been overwhelmed by the strong reception, particularly the laughter and applause in theatres. Aravind added that the film has surpassed expectations, and he appreciated the support of the press and the public for embracing Single so warmly.

Sri Vishnu, speaking at the press conference, expressed surprise and joy at the flood of positive messages from fans. “We made this film to make people laugh and bring families together. The audience has rewarded us beyond what we imagined. I’m thankful to the entire team and especially to viewers for making this film such a big success,” he said. He urged families to visit theatres and promised full entertainment and satisfaction. Vennela Kishore, whose comedic role has received high praise, playfully called this his "first film as a hero" and credited the writers and Sri Vishnu for allowing his character the space to shine. “Each dialogue got such a great response. Credit goes to Bhanu Nandu. I thank the director and Geetha Arts for giving me this opportunity,” he added.

Director Karthik Raju thanked Allu Aravind and the producers for their belief in the story. He acknowledged the hard work of the team and gave special mention to Sri Vishnu for his continuous support during the three-year journey to bring the story to screen. The cast, including Ketika Sharma and Ivana, also shared their excitement about the film’s success and thanked the audience for the love. Ketika Sharma said, “It was a dream come true to work with Geetha Arts. This film is a major hit in my career. Working with Vishnu was a great experience. I thank the director and producers for believing in me.” Ivana, making her Telugu debut with Single, shared how proud she felt to be introduced in a film under such a reputed banner. “The response has been amazing. Audiences are loving my character Harini, and I’m thankful to the director for this opportunity,” she said.

Producer Vidya also acknowledged the media for their support and shared that the entire team is thrilled by the turnout and box office success. She promised a grand success celebration soon. Single has proven to be more than just a commercial entertainer. With its sincere storytelling, fun performances, and a generous initiative supporting Indian soldiers, the film has resonated both emotionally and socially. The audience has not only embraced the humor and performances but also appreciated the noble cause the film now supports. As the film continues to run successfully in theatres, the makers are preparing for wider promotional efforts and possibly exploring the film’s next chapter. With consistent positive word-of-mouth, Single is now among the most talked-about Telugu films of the season, and the contributions made from its success will hopefully create real impact where it matters most supporting the brave hearts protecting the country.
