Rajinikanth’s Coolie Advance Booking Opens: Kerala Shows Start 6 AM, Tamil Nadu At 9 AM On August 14

The stage is set for one of the biggest box office battles of 2025 Rajinikanth’s Coolie vs War 2. As excitement builds, advance booking for Coolie has officially kicked off across selected theatres in India and overseas. The highly anticipated action entertainer, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, is all set for a global theatrical release on August 14, 2025.

In Kerala and Karnataka, early morning shows will begin as early as 6:00 AM, with bookings opening at 10:30 AM IST on August 8. In Tamil Nadu, however, the first show will begin at 9:00 AM, following a government directive that bans early morning shows due to safety concerns after a fan’s tragic death during the Thunivu first-day-first-show in 2023.

Adding to the excitement, Coolie will also open with early premieres internationally. The United Kingdom will host the first show at 12:30 AM BST (5:00 AM IST) on August 14. In Dubai, the earliest listing at the time of publishing is for 9:30 AM IST, and more shows are expected to be added soon.

The film, which has received an A certificate from the CBFC in India, has been cleared without any cuts in the UK. Theaters in Tamil Nadu have issued clear notices that no person under 18 years of age will be allowed entry.

Trade analysts are already predicting a record-breaking opening. According to early reports, Coolie has earned $2 million in global pre-sales, with $1.3 million from North America alone. Over 50,000 tickets have already been sold in that region, according to Prathyangira Cinemas, the film’s North American distributor.

With a star-studded ensemble cast featuring Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, and Shruti Haasan, Coolie has caught the attention of audiences across India and beyond. The action-packed entertainer is already generating massive buzz, not just for its thrilling content but also for its potential to become Kollywood’s first ₹1,000-crore grosser. With global screenings, massive fanfare, and advance sales already soaring, all eyes are on whether Coolie can rewrite box office history this August.
