AP Minister Meets Telugu Film Producers Over Industry Shutdown Amid Workers Strike

The ongoing shutdown in the Telugu film industry took a significant turn as Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh held discussions with top film producers in Amaravati to address the workers strike and other pressing issues. The strike has brought all major film shoots in the state to a standstill, impacting not only the progress of upcoming movies but also the livelihoods of countless industry workers.

During the meeting, producers expressed deep concern over the mounting financial losses and the uncertainty facing both production houses and workers. Minister Durgesh acknowledged their grievances, stating that while the matter primarily falls under the jurisdiction of the Film Chamber, he is committed to escalating the issue to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

He assured producers that the Andhra Pradesh government is ready to extend its full support for the stability and long-term growth of the state’s film sector. The talks were attended by some of the highest-paid producers in the industry, reflecting the seriousness of the situation. Discussions will continue in the coming days to find a resolution that benefits both the workforce and production stakeholders.

For now, Telugu cinema remains at a standstill, with all film shoots on hold until the strike is resolved, leaving the industry and fans eagerly awaiting a breakthrough that can revive production and restore normalcy to Tollywood.
