Ssunita Ahuja clears air on Yash debut vs Ahaan Panday Saiyaara, slams rumours
Ssunita Ahuja, wife of actor Govinda, has issued a clarification after social media buzz suggested that she compared her son Yash’s upcoming debut film with Ahaan Panday’s first movie Saiyaara. The rumours gained traction after her earlier response to a fan was misinterpreted, sparking debate online. Clearing the air, Ssunita made it clear that she never made any negative comments about Ahaan Panday or his film. Instead, she expressed respect and admiration for the young actor, highlighting her excitement to watch Saiyaara and extending her best wishes to all newcomers in the film industry. She also mentioned her fondness for Yash Raj Films, underlining that her comments were taken out of context.
During her interaction, she emphasized, I am happy that Ahaan has made a name for himself. I never compared Yash and Ahaan. I love Yash Raj Films and wish all kids of the industry success. Please do not spread such rumours. Her statement has now ended the online chatter and placed focus back on the films and their young stars.
Saiyaara, featuring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has turned into a box office surprise hit this year and continues to draw positive reviews. The film has been compared to Chhaava for its strong run, making it one of the most talked-about debuts of the year. Netflix has acquired the streaming rights, and the film is expected to arrive on the platform within two months of its theatrical release. Ssunita also revealed that although she has not yet watched Saiyaara, her son Yash has already seen it twice and shared his excitement with her. She added that she looks forward to watching it when it comes to OTT.
Ssunita and Govinda also faced personal rumours recently, with reports suggesting divorce proceedings under the Hindu Marriage Act. These claims were later dismissed by Govinda’s lawyer, and the couple appeared together at Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, putting speculation to rest. Ssunita Ahuja’s clarification reflects her support for both her son and the new generation of actors like Ahaan Panday, signaling that the industry thrives when young talent is encouraged rather than compared.
