The ongoing debate in the Indian film industry suggests that content-driven films are overshadowing star-driven blockbusters. While Bollywood and Tollywood have seen several big-budget films underperform, young Telugu actor Teja Sajja remains firm in his belief that star power still rules the box office.
During the promotions of his upcoming film Mirai, Teja Sajja dismissed the notion that audiences are losing interest in star-led cinema. “It is impossible to say that star power has declined at the box office. All our young stars are working hard, and their films continue to create excitement and craze. The upcoming film OG will prove it,” he said confidently.
Teja hinted that OG, one of the most anticipated Telugu releases featuring Pawan Kalyan, will set the box office on fire. He added in Telugu, “Manam andharam OG kosam wait chestunnam kada, Tagalabadi Pothayi,” emphasizing that fans are eagerly waiting for its storm-like impact.
He also highlighted the broader contribution of star power in Telugu states, noting that big films not only generate euphoria but also provide large-scale employment opportunities across the industry.
Teja Sajja is gearing up for the release of Mirai, directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni and produced by People Media Factory. Scheduled to release on September 12, Mirai presents him in a new negative role, which is already drawing attention from audiences and critics alike.
