The upcoming youthful entertainer Bookie, starring Ajay Dishan and Dhanush in lead roles, was officially launched with a traditional puja ceremony. Directed by Ganesh Chandra, the film is produced by Rammanjeyulu Javvaji under Sharavanth Ram Creations in association with Vijay Antony Film Corporation, with VAF Corporation presenting it. The muhurtham event was attended by several film personalities. Satyadev sounded the first clap, producer C. Kalyan switched on the camera, and Lakshmi Manchu handed over the script, marking a memorable launch. The cast also features Pandiarajan, Sunil, Lakshmi Manchu, Indumathi, and Vivek Prasanna in important roles. Music is being scored by Vijay Antony, who expressed confidence that the film would achieve commercial success.

At the launch, Vijay Antony shared that shooting had already begun and the early footage looked excellent. Ajay Dishan stated that the success of his earlier film gave him the confidence to take up Bookie, while Dhanush expressed her joy at being part of such a special project. Director Ganesh Chandra, who earlier worked as a cinematographer for Doctor Salim, said Bookie marks his directorial debut and thanked Vijay Antony and the producers for trusting him. Lakshmi Manchu highlighted that the story will appeal universally to audiences, and producer Rammanjeyulu emphasized that the script is designed to connect with youth while carrying a meaningful message. The film is set for a theatrical release in February and aims to entertain audiences across all age groups.
