Mirai First Weekend Box Office Collection: Teja Sajja’s Film Hits ₹60 Crore Worldwide
The much-anticipated Telugu action entertainer Mirai, starring Teja Sajja and directed by Karthik Gattamneni, has struck gold at the box office in its opening weekend. Released on September 12, 2025, under the People Media Factory banner by TG Vishwa Prasad, the film also features Ritika Nayak as the female lead, with Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, and Manchu Manoj in a powerful villain role.
Backed by strong word of mouth and massive openings, Mirai quickly turned into a super hit, achieving breakeven in just three days. The film did a worldwide theatrical business of ₹28 crore and needed ₹28.5 crore share to break even, but it has already surpassed expectations with a ₹35.02 crore share, ensuring ₹6.52 crore profit for its buyers within its debut weekend. In terms of gross revenue, the movie has raked in an impressive ₹60 crore worldwide.
The film’s box office breakdown reflects its wide appeal. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana alone, Mirai amassed a share of ₹22.86 crore, with Nizam leading at ₹11.5 crore, followed by Ceded at ₹2.60 crore, Uttarandhra at ₹2.36 crore, East at ₹1.70 crore, West at ₹0.98 crore, Guntur at ₹1.55 crore, Krishna at ₹1.45 crore, and Nellore at ₹0.72 crore. The film added ₹4.72 crore from the rest of India, including Hindi belts, while overseas collections soared to ₹7.44 crore.
With a stellar ensemble cast, high production values, and engaging content, Mirai is now racing ahead as one of the biggest Telugu hits of 2025. Given its strong performance in domestic and international markets, trade analysts predict that the film will continue to dominate in the coming weeks, cementing Teja Sajja’s rise as one of the most bankable young stars in Tollywood.
