The highly anticipated film OG, starring Power Star Pawan Kalyan, is all set for a worldwide grand release on September 25, 2025. Directed by Sujeeth and produced on a lavish scale by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under DVV Entertainments, the film features Pawan Kalyan in a powerful role as Ojas. With Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Prakash Raj, Shriya Reddy, and Arjun Das in key roles, and Thaman’s pulsating music, OG has been among the most awaited films of the year.
The pre release event held at LB Stadium, Hyderabad, turned into a massive celebration with thousands of fans and several film industry stalwarts in attendance. The evening was lit up by music director Thaman’s energetic live performance, and the highlight was Pawan Kalyan singing “Washi Yo Washi” live, a track he recorded for the film. The exclusive unveiling of the OG trailer at the event left fans in a frenzy of excitement.
Addressing the fans, Pawan Kalyan said he attended the event in costume for the first time, purely for his fans, and explained the significance of the “Washi Yo Washi” haiku used in the film. He praised Sujeeth’s passion and brilliance as a director, calling him and Thaman the real stars of OG alongside himself. He also lauded the stunning visuals by Ravi K Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa and shared how Priyanka Mohan brought back the nostalgic aura of 80s heroines. Comparing the energy around OG to the hysteria of his 2001 blockbuster Kushi, Pawan expressed heartfelt gratitude to his fans for never leaving his side even as he balanced politics and films.
Music director Thaman promised that OG would present Pawan Kalyan exactly how fans have always dreamed, while heroine Priyanka Arul Mohan said the film would double the energy fans witnessed at the event.
