Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 continues to dominate the Indian box office, having crossed ₹300 crore nett within its first week of release. According to data from Sacnilk, Kantara: Chapter 1 has now earned ₹316 crore nett in India in just seven days. Despite a 27% drop from Day 6 collections (₹34.25 crore), the numbers remain robust and set the stage for a strong second weekend, especially if word-of-mouth and repeat audiences hold up.

  • Day 2: ₹45.4 crore
  • Day 3: ₹55 crore
  • Day 4: ₹63 crore

The Hindi version of the film has proven to be a massive hit, crossing ₹100 crore nett, with the Kannada version nearing ₹100 crore (₹98.85 crore). This bilingual success is a testament to Kantara’s wide appeal across linguistic and regional barriers.

In terms of gross earnings, Kantara: Chapter 1 has surpassed ₹410 crore globally in six days, already outperforming the original Kantara (2022), which grossed ₹408 crore in its entire lifetime. The film now stands as the second-highest grossing Kannada film, just behind Yash's KGF: Chapter 2, which grossed an unmatched ₹1,215 crore worldwide.

Outlook for the Coming Days

Trade analysts predict that Kantara: Chapter 1 could finish its run between ₹700-800 crore worldwide, depending on how well it sustains through the second and third weekends. With festive holidays approaching and strong audience retention, the film still has solid earning potential.
