Akhanda 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the Balakrishna-Boyapati Srinu blockbuster, has already shattered records even before its theatrical release.

According to industry reports, Disney+ Hotstar has bagged the digital streaming rights of the film for a record-breaking ₹85 crores, beating out platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. This is one of the biggest OTT deals in Telugu cinema, especially for a mass action entertainer.

To the digital rights, the satellite rights have been sold for ₹60 crores, and all theatrical rights deals have been closed at record prices making Akhanda 2 the highest pre-release business venture in Balakrishna’s career so far. The producers have reportedly entered profit territory months ahead of the film’s release.
