Dhruva Sarja And Rachita Ram Reunite For Criminal, A True Story From North Karnataka
Kannada actors Dhruva Sarja and Rachita Ram are set to share the screen once again in the upcoming film Criminal, a project inspired by a real-life incident from Haveri in North Karnataka. Directed by Raj Guru, known for his work in Kerebete, the film is backed by producer Manish Shah of Goldmines, raising expectations among Kannada audiences. The story takes shape from a true love story that unfolded in rural Karnataka, and both leads are expected to deliver intense performances. Dhruva Sarja’s appearance in the title reveal teaser showcases him in a rugged new avatar, even more imposing than his look in KD: The Devil. The teaser, released on November 19, sets the tone for a troubled yet powerful relationship between the two characters.

Their pairing, previously seen in Bharjari, has already proven successful, and fans are eager to see how their chemistry evolves in this new narrative. Rachita Ram plays Parvati, and early insights suggest that her role carries equal strength and emotional depth. The film aims to balance drama, romance, and the raw essence of the real events that shaped its story. With music by Chandan Shetty, the soundtrack is expected to reflect the regional soul of North Karnataka. Veteran actress Tara joins the cast as Dhruva’s mother, adding another seasoned presence to the project.
Rachita Ram continues to expand her slate with multiple releases lined up through 2026, including Duniya Vijay’s Landlord, whose poster received strong appreciation from fans. Dhruva Sarja, meanwhile, is preparing for the release of KD: The Devil, a pan-India action drama featuring Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, V Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, and Reeshma Nanaiah. The film recently confirmed a cameo by Kichcha Sudeep, increasing the buzz around it. As both stars gear up for major releases, Criminal stands out as a promising collaboration rooted in real events, high emotion, and strong performances, making it one of the most anticipated Kannada projects on the horizon.
