The Raja Saab Gets Approval For Higher Ticket Prices Ahead Of Sankranthi Release

Prabhas’ much-awaited Sankranthi release The Raja Saab has received a major boost ahead of its theatrical debut, as the Andhra Pradesh government has officially approved higher ticket prices for the film. A new government order has been issued granting permission for ticket price hikes, giving the makers an advantage during the crucial opening phase. The decision is expected to significantly strengthen the film’s box office prospects, especially during the festive season when audience turnout is traditionally high.

Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab is positioned as a horror-fantasy entertainer and is set for a grand release starting January 9. As per the government approval, the film will also have paid premiere shows, with ticket prices allowed up to Rs 1000 for these special screenings. Such premieres are expected to draw massive fan attention, particularly given Prabhas’ strong following across the Telugu states.

Alongside premiere shows, ticket prices for regular screenings have also been revised upward. From January 9 onwards, ticket rates have been increased by Rs 150 in single-screen theatres and Rs 200 in multiplexes across Andhra Pradesh. With these revisions, ticket prices will stand at approximately Rs 297 in single screens and Rs 377 in multiplexes for the first ten days of the film’s run. Additionally, the makers have been granted permission to screen up to five shows per day, further maximizing revenue potential during the opening stretch.

The approval for higher ticket prices is being viewed as a strategic advantage for The Raja Saab, especially given its release during the lucrative Sankranthi festival window. With increased ticket rates and additional shows, trade analysts expect the film to register a strong opening at the box office. Prabhas’ massive fan base, combined with festive holidays and premium pricing, is likely to result in packed theatres during the initial days.

The Raja Saab is produced by People Media Factory and features a notable cast that includes Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar. The film’s music is composed by Thaman S, whose background score and songs are expected to elevate the film’s fantasy and horror elements. With government backing for ticket hikes, paid premieres, and extended daily screenings, The Raja Saab is well-positioned to capitalize on the festive season. All eyes are now on audience reception, as positive word of mouth could translate these favorable conditions into a blockbuster opening run at the box office.
