In a bold move, the makers have planned a pan-India release for the film. The teaser trailer was launched in six languages – Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and English, signaling the film’s widespread appeal. Kathanar is also set to release in eight other international languages, aiming to reach a global audience.
The film’s production has been a massive undertaking, with around 500 people working across various departments over nearly five years to bring the project to fruition. Director Rojin Thomas, known for his work on Home, praised the efforts of the team, including actor Jayasurya, who dedicated five years of his career to the film. The film’s technical team features renowned professionals, including composer Rahul Subhramanyan, cinematographer Neil D Cunha, and action director Jungjin Park, ensuring a high-quality cinematic experience.
Directed by Rojin Thomas and co-written by him and Ramanand, Kathanar - The Sorcerer features an ensemble cast that includes Jayasurya, Anushka Shetty, Prabhudeva, Sanoop San, Sandy, Devika, Nitish Bharadwaj, and others in pivotal roles. The shooting of the film was completed last year, and it is now in the final stages of production.
