Chand Mera Dil: Ananya Panday and Lakshya's Romance Explores First Love and Second Chances

Producer Karan Johar has just released the highly anticipated new posters for his romantic film Chand Mera Dil, starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya. The film, slated for release on May 22, 2026, delves deep into the emotional complexities of first love and second chances, promising an evocative and passionate narrative.

The posters, which were shared on Karan Johar’s Instagram, showcase the growing connection between the characters Aarav (Lakshya) and Chandni (Ananya Panday). Johar described the film as "A love story where life happens faster than love." The tagline encapsulates the essence of the movie, suggesting that the characters' intense love for each other transcends the time and struggles that life throws their way.

One of the posters reads, “Not every first love gets a second chance,” and another one says, “When love grows faster than life,” reinforcing the film's focus on youthful, intense romance and the emotional depth of relationships that evolve over time. The imagery in the posters highlights the genuine chemistry between Ananya and Lakshya, whose characters navigate the complexities of love through both private and vulnerable moments. From intimate classroom interactions to embracing each other in more domestic, quieter settings, the visuals reflect the dual nature of their connection—one that is as tender as it is passionate.

The film’s story arc appears to explore the transition from carefree, youthful love to the more emotionally complex and strained moments of growing up. Chand Mera Dil seems to capture this transformation with a fresh perspective, offering a modern romantic tale filled with both intensity and introspection.

Karan Johar had teased fans with another poster featuring the lead duo, accompanied by a playful caption: “Pyaar ka koi fixed route nahi hota, bas thoda paagal hona padta hai,” translating to, “There’s no fixed route to romance, you just have to be a bit crazy.” Directed by Vivek Soni and co-produced by Johar and Adar Poonawalla, Chand Mera Dil marks the first time Ananya and Lakshya will be paired together in a romantic film. The teaser for the movie is set to release on May 7, 2026, building even more excitement ahead of the theatrical release later in the month.
