Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has emerged as a strong contender in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, winning 100 out of the 234 seats. As the actor-turned-politician celebrates this historic political debut, producer Venkat K Narayana, who is behind Vijay’s upcoming film Jana Nayagan, shared a heartfelt message congratulating the actor on his success. Narayana referred to the achievement as a revolution, which will "echo for generations to come."

The congratulatory post, shared on KVN Productions’ official social media, read: "Heartiest congratulations to our ‘Jana Nayagan’, Thalapathy Vijay sir, on scripting history today against all odds. It is indeed a revolution and one that will echo for generations to come."

However, the post also saw a surge of enthusiastic fans calling for a change to the title card of Jana Nayagan, requesting that it be updated to include “CM Thalapathy Vijay.” The fans’ excitement is palpable, with some commenting that Tamil Nadu is “ready” for Vijay to lead, while others expressed their eagerness for the film’s release. Many fans even expressed their hopes that the film would perform massively at the box office once it is released.

Despite these celebrations, the film’s release has been delayed due to issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which raised objections to some of the film's content. The film was originally slated for release during Pongal, but after moving to court, it remains stalled. The film was leaked online in April, fueling concerns about piracy within the Tamil film industry.

Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is being billed as Vijay’s final film before fully committing to his political career with TVK. The film also features Mamitha Baiju, Pooja Hegde, and Bobby Deol. While fans eagerly await its release, the official date is yet to be announced as the legal issues surrounding its certification continue.
