Karuppu Team Thanks Vijay for Permission to Screen 9 AM Shows on Release Day

The makers of Karuppu have announced that the film’s much-awaited first-day-first-show will begin at 9 AM on May 14, much to the delight of fans. In a heartfelt gesture, the production house, Dream Warrior Pictures, took to social media to thank Chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay for granting permission for the early screening. The team posted a picture of Vijay in his office, seated while signing the document granting approval for the special permission.

The official announcement shared on X read, “Special thanks to our honorable Chief Minister Thiru. Joseph Vijay for granting the special permission for the 9AM shows of #Karuppu. #Karuppu - FDFS begins at 9 AM, from May 14th (sic).” The early screening announcement adds to the excitement surrounding the film’s release, giving fans an opportunity to catch the much-awaited film from the crack of dawn.

Karuppu, one of the most anticipated films of the year, stars Suriya in a vintage mass-action avatar. Directed by RJ Balaji, the film also features Trisha Krishnan in a pivotal role. Produced by S R Prabhu and S R Prakash Babu under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner, the movie is positioned as a high-energy theatrical entertainer.

RJ Balaji, speaking at a promotional event ahead of the release, emphasized that the film is crafted for the cinema-going audience, focusing on the commercial entertainer formula with an emphasis on mass masala content.
