The song has been composed, produced and arranged by Academy Award-winning composer AR Rahman, adding further attention to the film’s soundtrack.
Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar has written the lyrics, while Sonu Nigam and Heer have provided the vocals. The combination of Rahman, Akhtar and Nigam gives Tabassum a strong musical pedigree as the makers continue building anticipation ahead of the film’s theatrical release. Batwara 1947 Story Revisits Partition Through Human Relationships
Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Batwara 1947 is set during the Partition of India and focuses on love, sacrifice, communal tension and resilience during one of the most turbulent periods in the subcontinent’s history.
The film also stars Sunny Deol, Preity G Zinta, Shabana Azmi and Abhimanyu Singh in important roles. It marks the reunion of Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol after nearly three decades.
