Devi Sri Prasad says Sing Geetham was a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience where every dialogue had to become a song.
DSP Opens Up About Sing Geetham
For music director Devi Sri Prasad, Sing Geetham was not just another film project. The composer described it as one of the most unique and challenging experiences of his career. Directed by legendary filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao and produced by Nag Ashwin under Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema, the film is set for release on June 11.
Every Dialogue Became A Song
DSP revealed that the biggest challenge was turning every conversation in the film into music. Unlike regular films where songs are placed between scenes, Sing Geetham required every dialogue to be expressed through melody. He said even a small change in one line could affect the entire musical structure, making the process extremely complex and demanding.
Music Before The Shoot
Another unusual aspect of the film was that the music had to be completed before shooting began. DSP and his team first developed the scenes musically, and the actors later performed according to those compositions. This gave the film a rare style, where storytelling, acting and music worked together from the very beginning.
A Village That Speaks Through Songs
DSP said Sing Geetham is not only experimental but also deeply emotional. The story is set in a village where people communicate entirely through songs, a concept rarely explored in cinema. He also praised Singeetham Srinivasa Rao’s fearless creativity, calling him a filmmaker who never follows trends and always thinks ahead of his time.
Once-In-A-Lifetime Experience
The composer also appreciated producer Nag Ashwin and the entire team for supporting such a bold idea with passion. Calling the film a blessing, DSP said that getting the chance to work on a project like Sing Geetham comes only once in a lifetime.
