Vishwanath & Sons event brings Suriya and team to Hyderabad
Suriya’s upcoming family entertainer Vishwanath & Sons took centre stage in Hyderabad as the makers held a grand pre-release event ahead of the film’s worldwide theatrical release on August 14, 2026. The event at Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Stadium brought together the cast, crew, film personalities and a large gathering of fans.
Directed by Venky Atluri, the film stars Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, with Radhika Sarathkumar playing an important character. Presented by Srikara Studios, Vishwanath & Sons is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. G. V. Prakash Kumar has composed the music.
The songs, teaser and trailer have already positioned the film as an emotional family drama combining humour, relationships and a strong mother-son bond.
Suriya says audiences will fall in love with Vishwanath & Sons
Addressing Telugu fans, Suriya thanked audiences for supporting him throughout his career and said his bond with Telugu moviegoers remains special. Recalling the reception for Ghajini and Suriya S/O Krishnan, the actor expressed hope that Vishwanath & Sons would earn similar affection.
Suriya praised Venky Atluri’s writing and described him as a sincere filmmaker who gives everything to his work. He also appreciated producer Naga Vamsi, composer G. V. Prakash Kumar and the technical team for their contribution.
The actor said his six months of working in Hyderabad made the project particularly memorable. He also praised Mamitha Baiju’s energetic performance and Radhika Sarathkumar’s presence in the film. Director Venky Atluri said Vishwanath & Sons was designed not only for Suriya’s fans but also for families. He expressed confidence that audiences would leave theatres satisfied and said the film maintains a warm and entertaining mood throughout its runtime.
Venky highlighted the chemistry between Suriya and Mamitha Baiju and praised Radhika Sarathkumar’s performance. He said the film gave him immense creative satisfaction and described directing Suriya, an actor he had admired for years, as a memorable experience.
Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi also expressed strong confidence in the film. He said Vishwanath & Sons could find a place alongside Ghajini and Suriya S/O Krishnan among Suriya’s most loved films with Telugu audiences. According to Naga Vamsi, the emotional core of the story is the relationship between a mother and her son.
