Chiranjeevi and director Bobby Kolli’s Kaaka has entered dubbing as the team works toward its announced January 13, 2027, theatrical release. Bobby and the crew began the process with a puja ceremony on September 25, according to a report from the film unit.

The update comes amid speculation that Kaaka could be postponed to avoid a possible release clash with Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara. For now, the Kaaka team remains focused on its Sankranthi date. Dubbing has started while filming and other post-production work continue, leaving the crew with a demanding schedule over the coming months.

Bobby reportedly aims to complete the remaining shoot by November. That would give the team time to finish dubbing, music, editing and other post-production work before the January release. Starting dubbing while production is still under way can help move the schedule forward, but it does not mean the film is complete.

Chiranjeevi and Bobby previously worked together on Waltair Veerayya, another Sankranthi release. Their reunion has helped build expectations for Kaaka, particularly after the film’s first glimpse was released around Chiranjeevi’s birthday. The new production update gives audiences a clearer sign of the team’s progress as it approaches the final stretch.

KVN Productions is backing Kaaka, with Thaman composing the music. The filmmakers have reaffirmed January 13, 2027, as the intended release date despite talk of a possible change.

The next milestones will be the completion of filming and the remaining post-production work. Bobby’s reported November target leaves a relatively short window before Sankranthi, so the team’s progress will remain closely watched. As of the latest update, however, Kaaka is moving ahead with dubbing and preparing to bring Chiranjeevi back to theatres for the festive season.
