Ruku Ruku Rukmini Introduces Krishna’s Love Story
Alias Rukmini has unveiled its first single, Ruku Ruku Rukmini, offering a playful introduction to the romance between its lead characters. Featuring Nithiin and Aafiya Sayed, the lyrical song follows a young man whose thoughts keep returning to the woman he admires, even during his working day at a court.
Nithiin plays Krishna, a middle-class youngster drawn to Rukmini, a schoolteacher portrayed by Aafiya. The song explores his growing affection through everyday encounters and imagined moments of a life together.
Krishna Balances Hope and Fear of Rejection
The romantic situation rests on a familiar uncertainty: Krishna wants Rukmini to accept his feelings but worries about being turned down. His daydreams bring humour to that hesitation, allowing the song to introduce both his attraction and his vulnerability.
Rukmini’s presence becomes a welcome part of his daily routine. Rather than revealing the outcome of his pursuit, the single focuses on the anticipation and unspoken feelings that shape this stage of their relationship.
Vijai Bulganin Composes the First Single
Vijai Bulganin pairs a gentle romantic melody with lively orchestration for Ruku Ruku Rukmini. Purnachary’s lyrics centre on admiration and longing, while Anurag Kulkarni provides the vocals.
The combination gives the song a light, affectionate mood that complements Krishna’s hopeful imagination. It also establishes the musical tone of the film’s romance without revealing the larger story.
Alias Rukmini Sets December 4 Release
Murali Kanth Devasoth, known for Dhandora, directs Alias Rukmini. Deepthi Ganta produces the film under Nani’s Unanimous Productions, the banner behind COURT – State Vs A Nobody.

Alias Rukmini is scheduled to arrive in theatres on December 4, 2026.
