The New Jersey Buddhist Vihara (NJBV) was established to serve both Buddhists and non-Buddhists across the United States through spiritual, cultural, and social outreach. Founded by a monk ordained in 1964, the temple's first mission was fulfilled with the construction of the majestic Samadhi Buddha Statue. NJBV is now expanding with the proposed Meditation & Activity Center, which will offer traditional meditation techniques, intellectual exploration, and interfaith dialogue. The center aims to provide emotional healing and support for individuals of all ages—from pregnant mothers and children to adults and seniors. With inclusivity at its core, NJBV continues to foster peace, mindfulness, and compassionate service for all.
