Local restaurants offer special discounts during Columbus independents weeks

More than a dozen locally owned restaurants in Columbus, Ohio, are offering special discounts to diners as part of the annual Columbus Independents Weeks event, which runs from March 2 through March 14. The promotion is organized by Columbus Independents, an association representing independent restaurants that aims to encourage residents and visitors to support local food businesses while enjoying limited-time dining deals across the city.

During the event, participating restaurants are featuring specially prepared three-course meals priced at 39 dollars, excluding tax and gratuity. The offer is available at select locations, with menus, dates and carryout options varying by restaurant. Customers are encouraged to check the official event website to review available food deals, preview menu selections and confirm participation details before visiting.

According to organizers, the dining event is designed to give customers a chance to return to their favorite local restaurants while also discovering new places within the city’s independent dining scene. The association said the promotion helps highlight the variety of cuisines available in Columbus, from traditional American dining to international food offerings, while strengthening community support for locally owned establishments.

Participating restaurants include Alqueria, Barcelona Restaurant, Cambridge Tea House, Chile Verde, Elevator Brewery and Draught House, Figlio, Gogi Korean BBQ, Lemongrass Fusion Bistro, Local Roots, The Refectory, Trattoria Roma, Z Cucina di Spirito Columbus and Z Cucina di Spirito Dublin. Each location is independently operated and contributes to the city’s reputation as a growing food destination in Ohio.

Organizers also noted that outside of the promotional period, customers can purchase restaurant-specific certificates through the group’s website at discounted rates, providing additional opportunities to support local dining throughout the year.

Restaurant owners involved in the event emphasized that independent restaurants play an important role in the local economy because money spent at locally owned businesses stays within the community. They said continued support for independent dining helps sustain jobs, encourages culinary diversity and strengthens Columbus’s position as a regional food destination.
