The United States Marshals Service announced the arrest of 78 fugitives following a coordinated three-week operation in Georgia targeting individuals accused of serious and violent crimes. Authorities said the operation, conducted between Sunday, March 16, 2026, and Thursday, April 3, 2026, also resulted in the seizure of firearms, narcotics, and cash.

According to an official statement released on Thursday, April 9, 2026, the operation focused on suspects wanted for offenses including murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, sexual crimes, and violations of state drug laws. Law enforcement agencies worked in coordination with local officials in Clayton County and surrounding areas to identify and apprehend high-priority targets.

In addition to the arrests, authorities recovered 46 illegal firearms and seized approximately 57 pounds of narcotics, along with $18,000 in U.S. currency.
