Two separate birthday celebrations in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh ended in tragedy, leaving four people dead after small arguments turned violent.
In Delhi, a 21-year-old delivery executive named Pandav Kumar was shot dead during a birthday celebration at his friend’s house. The incident happened when Pandav and his friend were leaving for work late at night. A Delhi Police head constable, Neeraj Balhara, who was off duty, stopped them and questioned them. According to reports, an argument broke out after they revealed they were from Bihar. The constable allegedly opened fire, killing Pandav and injuring another man. The accused was arrested within hours.
In a separate incident in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, a birthday party at a gym turned violent. During the celebration, some people smeared cake on the birthday boy’s face, which led to an argument. The birthday boy, a gym trainer named Jeetu, along with his associates, allegedly opened fire. Three young men—Amar (26), Manish (23), and Akash (22)—were killed in the shooting.
Police have arrested multiple people in connection with the Bulandshahr case. Initial investigations suggest that an ongoing rivalry may have contributed to the violence.
Both incidents highlight how minor disputes can quickly escalate into serious crimes.
