The Mumbai Apple Store at BKC Jio Centre witnessed one of the most chaotic scenes of the launch day. Videos captured by news agencies showed groups of buyers fighting in the queue, with some resorting to physical blows as they tried to cut the line. Security officials struggled to control the situation, eventually escorting aggressive buyers out of the store area.

According to onlookers, the scuffle broke out because impatient buyers tried to jump ahead in line while security allegedly failed to maintain order. One frustrated buyer, Mohan Yadav, told ANI, “I have been waiting since the morning. But the security here has no responsibility. People are breaking lines. Those standing behind don’t get a chance to buy the product due to poor crowd management.”

The madness wasn’t limited to Mumbai. In New Delhi’s Select Citywalk Mall at Saket, queues stretched across two floors. Some buyers had arrived as early as 1 a.m. to ensure they were among the first to own the iPhone 17 series. Many admitted they had taken leave from work just to be present for the launch.

In Bengaluru and Pune, scenes were similar, with Apple fans lining up outside stores through the night. Some even traveled from states like Punjab to purchase the new iPhones. The hype wasn’t just for the phones buyers were also eager to grab the new Apple Watch lineup and AirPods Pro 3.
