The much-loved 80s Stars Reunion made a heartfelt return on October 4, 2025, in Chennai, bringing together 31 iconic actors from the golden era of Indian cinema, including Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Jackie Shroff, Prabhu, and many others.

Originally scheduled for last year but postponed due to the devastating floods in Chennai, this year’s reunion was marked by simplicity, unity, and solidarity. Hosted by Rajkumar Sethupathy and Sripriya at their home, the gathering was curated by Lissy Lakshmi, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Khushbu Sundar, and Suhasini Maniratnam, replacing the usual five-star setting with an intimate atmosphere of warmth and reflection.

Actors from across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and even Bollywood travelled to be part of the evening, which celebrated not fame but friendship, empathy, and enduring bonds. The reunion highlighted the unique camaraderie these stars forged in the vibrant decade of the 1980s, proving that true friendships outlast time, borders, and languages.

“It wasn’t a night of celebration this time,” shared Suhasini Maniratnam, emphasizing the gathering’s purpose as one of togetherness and gratitude. As dawn arrived, the stars departed with renewed strength and comfort in the ties that continue to unite them.
