The makers of Street Fighter have unveiled the first official trailer of the highly anticipated reboot, offering a high-energy glimpse into the cinematic adaptation of the iconic franchise. Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film blends stylised action, nostalgia, and larger-than-life characters while staying true to the spirit of the original games. The trailer features intense fight sequences, striking visuals, and signature moves that fans will instantly recognise.

Set in the early 1990s, the story follows Ryu and Ken Masters, who are drawn back into combat after Chun-Li recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament. What begins as a competitive fighting event soon unfolds into a larger conspiracy, pushing the characters into intense battles and personal conflicts. The reboot also brings back fan-favourite characters like Guile and Balrog, along with iconic elements such as the “Hadouken.”

The film features Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken Masters, Vidyut Jamwal as Dhalsim, and Callina Liang as Chun-Li, with Jason Momoa playing Blanka. The ensemble cast also includes Curtis Jackson and David Dastmalchian. Packed with action, humour, and nostalgic callbacks, Street Fighter is set for a theatrical release on October 16, 2026.
