Keith Urban will headline Houston’s Freedom Over Texas 2026 on Saturday, July 4, bringing a major country-music draw to Eleanor Tinsley Park for America’s 250th birthday celebration. City officials said the Independence Day event will run from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., with live music, family activities and a fireworks finale expected to make it one of Houston’s biggest public gatherings of the year.
Freedom Over Texas 2026 Lineup and Tickets
Urban tops a three-act bill that also includes Los Lonely Boys and Collective Soul, giving the festival a broad mix of country, rock and Texas-rooted sounds. General admission tickets are priced at $15, while children 12 and under can attend free, making the event accessible for families planning a full July 4 outing.
Fireworks, Family Zones and Futbol Park
Beyond the concert stage, Freedom Over Texas will feature food, drinks, children’s activities, patriotic exhibits and tributes to service members and first responders. Organizers are also adding a new Futbol Park at Sam Houston Park, with soccer-themed activities and big screens as Houston prepares for a busy summer of international sports.
The night will close with a large fireworks show over downtown Houston, giving visitors the classic July 4 moment many come for.
