Commercial LPG cylinder price in Delhi has increased from June 1, adding fresh cost pressure on hotels, restaurants, caterers, cloud kitchens, bakeries and other businesses that use 19-kg cylinders for daily operations. According to reports citing industry sources and fuel retailer data, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has been raised by ₹42. The new rate is ₹3,113.50, compared with the earlier price of ₹3,071.50.
The latest commercial LPG price hike comes at a time when food and hospitality businesses are already dealing with higher operating expenses. For a small restaurant or food outlet, a single-cylinder hike may look manageable. But businesses that use multiple cylinders every week can see their monthly fuel bills rise quickly. Higher gas costs can also affect catering services, sweet shops, tea stalls, bakeries and delivery-focused food businesses.
Domestic LPG users have not been affected by this revision. The price of a 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi remains unchanged at ₹913. This means household consumers will continue to pay the existing rate for cooking gas, while commercial users will bear the latest increase.
The difference between commercial and domestic LPG pricing is important. Commercial LPG prices are usually revised more frequently and are more closely linked to international energy markets. Domestic cooking gas prices are often handled more cautiously because they directly affect household budgets.
Fuel prices in India remain sensitive to global crude oil and LPG market movements because the country imports a large share of its energy requirements. Any disruption or uncertainty in global supply routes can influence domestic petroleum product prices. Businesses that depend heavily on LPG will now watch future price revisions closely, especially if global energy prices remain volatile.
For now, the immediate impact is limited to commercial LPG consumers. However, if fuel costs continue to rise, restaurants and food businesses may eventually pass part of the burden to customers through higher menu prices, service charges or catering costs.
