Weighing an estimated 33 to 37 pounds and measuring about 115 to 120 centimeters in length, the young dolphin quickly made its way to the surface for its first breath—a critical moment in the life of a newborn dolphin.

Throughout the birth, Allie was accompanied by another experienced female dolphin, Tapeko, who remained close by in a calm and supportive role. The companionship of another adult female is considered beneficial during dolphin births and is often observed in both wild and managed care environments.
