The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has denied the viral rumors claiming a shortage of ghee for preparing the famous Srivari Laddu prasadam. This clarification follows the circulation of a video showing an accident involving a ghee tanker, which allegedly contained ghee meant for the temple. Social media posts claimed that the spill had disrupted laddu preparation, creating concerns among devotees. However, TTD dismissed these claims, urging the public to refrain from believing such false propaganda.
The temple body emphasized that there is no shortage of cow ghee for laddu preparation. TTD clarified that ghee is secured through a robust three-tier procurement system. This system ensures the supply of ghee from three separate suppliers, safeguarding the temple from any disruptions in the supply chain. The system was designed specifically to prevent issues if one supplier faces unforeseen problems. Even though the tanker in question belonged to Indapur Dairy and was involved in an accident near Kadapa, TTD assured that the other two suppliers are continuing their deliveries without any disruption.
In response to the viral video and rumors, the temple body reassured devotees that around seven lakh Srivari Laddus are available for distribution. The preparation and distribution of these laddus are continuing without interruption. TTD also mentioned that, with the summer pilgrimage season approaching and an expected increase in the number of devotees, advance arrangements have already been made to ensure that laddu preparation continues smoothly. Additionally, regular maintenance of the machinery and conveyor belts in the Potu, the laddu preparation unit, is being carried out to prevent any operational issues.
With these proactive measures in place, TTD remains confident that the preparation and distribution of Srivari Laddu prasadam will continue seamlessly, providing the devotees with the much-revered prasadam without any hindrance. The temple body requested devotees to stay calm and avoid spreading misleading information that could hurt the sentiments of those who hold the temple and its operations in high regard.
