Obama Center museum tickets for fall 2026 will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, after strong demand reduced much of the initial inventory. The timed-admission tickets will cover visits from September 2026 through January 2027.

The Obama Foundation announced the additional release on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Founding members will receive early access beginning Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Visitors will need to choose from available timed-entry slots when public sales open on July 8. Availability may differ by date, and the announcement does not guarantee that every day between September 2026 and January 2027 will remain open.

The new release follows the Obama Presidential Center’s public opening in Chicago on Friday, June 19, 2026. It gives people who missed the first ticket block another opportunity to plan a museum visit during the fall and winter seasons.

Valerie Jarrett, chief executive officer of the Obama Foundation, said the early response demonstrated strong interest in the center’s mission of bringing people from different backgrounds together. She also said support from founding members helps the foundation invest in future changemakers.

Most of the Obama Center Campus Remains Free

A museum ticket is not required to visit most areas of the Obama Presidential Center campus. The museum is the only part of the center requiring timed admission, while the other public spaces remain free to enter.

The July release expands access following the initial rush for tickets and gives Chicago residents and travelers another opportunity to schedule visits through January 2027. Prospective visitors should review the available dates promptly once public sales begin.
