flyadeal Enters India With Riyadh-Hyderabad Route

flyadeal has entered the Indian aviation market with a new Riyadh-Hyderabad route, marking the Saudia Group low-cost carrier’s first service to India. The inaugural flight landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, according to GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd.

GMR said in a Monday statement that the first flight from Riyadh landed on July 4. The source text did not specify the year for that date.

The airline will operate daily flights on the Riyadh-Hyderabad-Riyadh route using Airbus A320 aircraft. The new service is expected to strengthen air connectivity between India and Saudi Arabia, particularly for business travelers, expatriates and leisure passengers.

GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. said the arrival of flyadeal adds to Hyderabad Airport’s growing international network and supports its position as an international aviation hub.

Hyderabad Airport Expands Middle East Connectivity

Kadhir Kadhirvan, CEO of GHIAL, said the airport was delighted to welcome flyadeal to Hyderabad and described the Riyadh connection as an addition that enhances the airport’s Middle East network.

Lloyd Misquitta, Chief Commercial Officer (A) of flyadeal, said the Hyderabad launch marks a significant milestone as the airline begins operations in India. He said the direct daily connection would further strengthen air links between Saudi Arabia and India.

The release said Rajiv Gandhi International Airport continues to expand its global footprint, connecting to 76 domestic and 24 international destinations. The addition of flyadeal gives travelers another direct option between Riyadh and Hyderabad, a route likely to serve passengers moving between the two countries for work, family visits and tourism.
