Iran's Embassy Shares LEGO-Style Animation of Trump in 'Fake Jesus' Controversy

A new viral video from Iran, titled “Fake Jesus,” has quickly garnered attention across social media. This 90-second AI-generated LEGO animation, which debuted on X from the Iranian Embassy’s South Africa account, presents U.S. President Donald Trump as a LEGO-style character. Trump is portrayed in a red robe and MAGA hat, reimagined as a self-proclaimed healer. The rap-style lyrics in the video criticize him for attempting to assume a messianic role while promoting destruction and war. The catchy chorus of “Fake Jesus!” underlines the video’s satirical tone.

The video comes in response to Trump’s own AI-generated post earlier this month on Truth Social, where he depicted himself in a Jesus-like pose, claiming to be a healer with glowing hands. This sparked backlash from both sides of the political spectrum, with even some of his supporters criticizing the image. Trump later claimed the image was meant to portray him as a “doctor,” not a religious figure, and refused to apologize to the Pope.

Iran’s “Fake Jesus” video contrasts this portrayal of Trump with images of destruction, war, and American symbols, including the Statue of Liberty and the Bald Eagle. The video highlights the ongoing tensions between the U.S. and Iran, as well as the broader geopolitical conflicts involving the U.S. and its military presence in the region. The clip was created by Persiabol, an Iranian media operation known for producing politically charged LEGO-style animations that cover Middle Eastern conflicts, U.S. politics, and global issues.

The video quickly gained traction, attracting over 48,000 views from the Iranian Embassy’s account and significant engagement from social media users. Many commenters praised the video’s satirical humor, while others made references to ongoing global tensions, including the Strait of Hormuz standoff.

Despite the controversy, political figures such as Vice President JD Vance have downplayed the significance of Trump’s AI image, calling it a "joke" and a trivial matter. However, Pope Leo XIV’s response was more serious, criticizing Trump’s foreign policy stance and his criticism of the Vatican.

In related news, YouTube has removed a pro-Iran AI-generated channel, Explosive Media, which had also posted similar satirical videos targeting Trump. The channel, which gained millions of views, was taken down for violating YouTube's policies on spam, deceptive practices, and scams.

This ongoing meme battle between the U.S. and Iran continues to draw attention, with each side using humor and satire as weapons in the geopolitical arena.
