BTS’s long-awaited return to Mexico City for their ARIRANG World Tour has become a fan festival as nearly 40,000 people gathered outside the Estadio GNP Seguros during the second concert of their Mexico City run. The group, which performed on May 7, 9, and 10, brought a wave of excitement with their first concert in the country after almost nine years. Videos from the Day 2 concert went viral online, showcasing an unforgettable live experience for the fans. As part of their ongoing ARIRANG World Tour, BTS performed before a packed stadium, with some reports estimating attendance for the second show at over 100,000, including the fans outside the venue. The energetic crowd of more than 40,000 outside the sold-out venue created a sea of lightsticks, dancing and singing to the group’s iconic hits, further highlighting the powerful connection between BTS and their Mexican fanbase. Many fans had eagerly waited for nearly a decade for the group's return to their city. According to railway authorities, the Chennai Egmore–Kanyakumari Summer Special Superfast Express will depart from Chennai Egmore at 5.20 PM and reach Kanyakumari at 6.50 AM the next day. In the return direction, the Kanyakumari–Chennai Egmore Summer Special Superfast Express will leave Kanyakumari at 3.15 PM and arrive in Chennai Egmore at 4.55 AM the following morning. The trains will halt at several major stations across Tamil Nadu and Kerala to improve connectivity for passengers traveling to important destinations in the southern region. Railway officials stated that the special trains will operate on selected summer dates and will include sleeper class, AC coaches, and general compartments to accommodate different categories of passengers. Authorities have advised travelers to book tickets early through official Indian Railways reservation portals and authorized booking counters as heavy demand is expected. Southern Railway also mentioned that additional staff and onboard support teams may be deployed to ensure smooth train operations and passenger convenience during the peak holiday travel season. The announcement has been welcomed by regular commuters and tourists planning visits to popular destinations such as Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Madurai, and nearby regions. Every year, travel demand between Chennai and Kanyakumari increases significantly during school holidays and festival periods, leading to long waiting lists on regular trains. With the introduction of these summer special superfast services, Indian Railways aims to reduce passenger congestion and offer a more comfortable and convenient travel experience across southern India.
