Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has been selected for the prestigious Business Reformer of the Year award by The Economic Times, earning nationwide recognition for his push to transform the state into a major investment destination. The award highlights the renewed momentum in business policy, infrastructure development and industrial expansion under his leadership. With a strong focus on investor confidence and governance reforms, Naidu has positioned Andhra Pradesh as a key contender among fast-growing states preparing for global business engagement.
The award will be presented at a special ceremony in March, where Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to honour the Chief Minister. The news has drawn wide attention from political and business circles across India, reflecting the significant impact of Andhra Pradesh’s investment roadmap.
The honour was finalised by a high-profile jury consisting of respected industry and financial leaders. Members included Bharti Group Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal, JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal, Kotak Mahindra Bank founder Uday Kotak, Narayana Health founder Dr Devi Shetty, senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, and Tata Trusts Chairman Noel Tata. The Economic Times stated that Andhra Pradesh has witnessed sustained progress in investment outreach and policy reform since Naidu returned to office, making the state a preferred destination for multiple sectors. His administration has focused on improving ease of doing business, creating industry-friendly regulatory space and initiating large-scale development projects.
The Business Reformer of the Year award has been previously presented to leading figures such as Ashwini Vaishnaw, S Jaishankar and Nirmala Sitharaman, as well as former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and late Union Minister Arun Jaitley. Chandrababu Naidu’s inclusion in this group strengthens his national profile as a leader known for business-driven governance.
