By Wednesday, the virus spread to a larger group, prompting district administrators to contact Tarrant County Public Health for guidance. Health officials recommended immediate disinfection efforts, and crews conducted extensive cleaning Wednesday night with plans to resume classes the following day.

However, additional cases were reported Thursday, leading public health authorities to advise another round of cleaning and a full-day closure on Friday to curb further virus spread. The district said it is working closely with Tarrant County health officials to monitor the outbreak and ensure proper safety measures are in place before students return.

Parents were notified Thursday afternoon about the decision to close the campus. EMSISD stated that Creekview Middle School is expected to reopen Monday, provided conditions improve and no significant new cases emerge. District officials have not released specific numbers regarding how many individuals were affected but emphasized that student health and safety remain their top priority as they continue mitigation efforts.
