Authorities confirmed that a vehicle had broken down and was stationary on the shoulder when a blue Toyota Camry collided with it. Firefighters from Rescue 101 of The Woodlands Fire Department were among the first to arrive and quickly managed to put out the blaze before it could spread further.
Tragically, a child inside the stationary vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. A mother and a second child, also in the same car, suffered severe third-degree burns and were rushed to a local hospital. Their current medical condition remains undisclosed, but both are reported to have sustained life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Toyota Camry, who was traveling alone, was also hospitalized. He is currently in stable condition, authorities confirmed.
