Utsavi Women’s Festival Set for May 17 in Dublin, CA

This Saturday, May 17, the city of Dublin will host Utsavi, a vibrant festival celebrating women’s empowerment, creativity, and community leadership. Organized by Agomoni, a community-driven nonprofit, the event will take place at Frederiksen Elementary School from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Utsavi, which means "joyful celebration" in Sanskrit, aims to bring together women from all walks of life to share knowledge, develop wellness practices, promote entrepreneurship, and build meaningful connections. Agomoni, the group behind the festival, is known for organizing impactful community activities like park cleanups, food drives, and senior center support programs.

What to Expect at Utsavi

Utsavi will be packed with engaging activities and opportunities for learning and celebration. Highlights include:

  • A fashion show featuring diverse and empowering styles

  • Competitions including rangoli and crochet, with exciting prizes

  • Creative workshops on flower arrangement, painting, tote bag making, and wall art

  • Interactive sessions covering professional development, self-care, wellness, relationships, and personal growth

  • Sheetal Rawal – Founder of Aprāsā Skincare

  • Jaya Basu – Therapist, educator, and CEO of Promise Worldwide, a nonprofit focused on mental health

  • Nilanjana Maulik – National disability rights advocate and inclusion champion

Agomoni stated, “Our mission is to bring together women from diverse backgrounds to share knowledge, foster wellness, and promote economic independence through networking and entrepreneurship.”
