Nvidia CEO: AI Will Change Every Job, Not Kill Them

At the VivaTech 2025 summit in Paris, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang addressed growing concerns over artificial intelligence (AI) and job displacement. Contrary to alarming forecasts from other tech leaders, Huang stated that AI will indeed transform every job but won’t result in mass unemployment. Speaking directly to recent warnings by Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei who predicted AI might eliminate nearly half of all entry-level white-collar jobs Huang dismissed the idea, saying the real issue isn’t job loss but people falling behind due to a lack of AI skills.

Huang emphasized that AI is already reshaping how people work, including his own role as a tech leader. Drawing a comparison to advancements in medicine, he called for AI development to be open, collaborative, and ethically guided. He reiterated a key point made during the Milken Institute Global Conference: those who understand and adopt AI tools will thrive, while those who ignore the technology risk becoming obsolete. “Every job will be affected, and immediately,” he warned.

Only about 30 million people globally are proficient in using AI effectively, according to Huang. As AI integration becomes more widespread, those numbers need to rise. He believes AI will boost productivity, introduce new job roles, and change the nature of existing ones. On the flip side, Amodei’s concerns remain: he suggested that companies may cease hiring for many roles as AI handles most routine tasks. However, Huang’s optimism stands out in the debate urging society to embrace AI as a partner in progress, not a threat.
