On June 23, 2026, a shocking triple murder was reported from Sai Green Apartment in the Seegehalli area under KR Puram police limits in Bengaluru. Three members of a family were found dead inside their residence, triggering a major police investigation.
The victims have been identified as Somasundar (55), his wife Muthulakshmi (48), and their younger daughter Supriya (20). Police suspect that the elder daughter, Shwetha, along with her live-in partner Kenneth, may be involved in the killings. Both accused are currently absconding.
Investigation and Possible Motive Under Review
According to preliminary findings, the incident may have been triggered by long-standing family tensions. Police said Shwetha’s relationship with Kenneth was not accepted by her parents, which created ongoing disputes within the household.
Investigators are also examining financial stress as a possible factor. Reports suggest that Shwetha had accumulated debts of nearly Rs 30 lakh, which may have added to family pressure and conflict.
Police believe the accused visited the apartment on the day of the incident and a violent confrontation took place inside the home. All three victims were allegedly attacked with a machete-type weapon during the incident.
Officials said one of the victims attempted to escape despite severe injuries but later succumbed. The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination as forensic teams collected evidence from the crime scene.
Police Manhunt and Ongoing Investigation
Following the incident, Bengaluru police launched a manhunt to trace Shwetha and Kenneth. CCTV footage from nearby areas and digital evidence are being analyzed to track their movements after the crime.
Authorities are also verifying witness statements and financial records to establish a clear motive and timeline of events. While reports suggest that one person may have been detained for questioning, officials have not released further details.
The investigation remains active as police work to reconstruct the sequence of events and confirm the exact involvement of the accused.
