Bengaluru Woman Killed by Boyfriend During Goa Marriage Trip

In a shocking crime reported from South Goa, a 22-year-old woman from Bengaluru, Roshni Moses M, was found murdered in a forested area of Pratap Nagar. She had travelled to Goa with her boyfriend, Sanjay Kevin M, intending to get married. However, a dispute reportedly erupted between the two, resulting in a brutal killing.

According to Goa Police, the couple had arrived in the coastal state days earlier. They planned to marry, but the relationship took a tragic turn when Sanjay allegedly slit Roshni’s throat and dumped her body in a secluded forest. Her body was discovered on Monday evening, triggering a murder investigation led by South Goa Police.

Superintendent of Police Tikam Singh Verma confirmed that the motive was linked to a personal dispute. “This murder was the result of a love affair, a marriage proposal, and a conflict that arose from it,” Verma stated during his visit to the crime scene.

After committing the crime, Sanjay fled the state and returned to Bengaluru. However, police were able to track him down within 24 hours based on leads and arrested him promptly. Authorities confirmed that Sanjay is currently in custody, and further investigation is underway to understand the full sequence of events that led to the fatal outcome.

This tragic case has raised serious concerns over rising crimes involving young couples and the dangers of impulsive travel and unregistered relationships. Roshni’s death has also sparked grief and shock in both Bengaluru and Goa, as police continue to gather evidence and piece together the motive behind the brutal act.
