Hari Karasani, a 24-year-old Indian student visiting Alaska from Texas, remains missing more than eight months after he was last seen in Healy. Alaska State Troopers continue to seek information from anyone who may know what happened after he left the Aurora Denali Lodge.

Nearly nine months after Indian student Hari Karasani disappeared during a solo trip to Alaska, his whereabouts remain unknown. Karasani, 24, was last seen leaving the Aurora Denali Lodge in Healy on December 31, 2025, according to an Alaska State Troopers missing-person bulletin.

Hari Karasani last seen in Healy

Karasani had traveled to Alaska from Texas and was traveling alone without a vehicle. His family last spoke with him by phone on December 30, 2025. He was reported missing on January 3, 2026, after relatives and friends were unable to reach him.

The official bulletin describes Karasani as 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 135 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Authorities have not publicly identified what happened after he left the lodge.

Alaska missing-person appeal remains active

Healy is a small community in Alaska's Interior near Denali National Park and Preserve. The Alaska State Troopers bulletin asks anyone with information about Karasani's whereabouts or contact with him to come forward.

A separate Alaska Department of Public Safety dispatch also lists the case as a missing-person incident connected to Healy and says Karasani was believed to be traveling on foot.
