Amit Shah Mocks Lalu, Sonia: Bihar CM, PM Posts Not Vacant

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the INDIA bloc during his rallies in Darbhanga, Begusarai, and Samastipur, mocking Lalu Prasad Yadav and Sonia Gandhi for allegedly promoting dynastic politics. Shah claimed that both leaders wanted to make their sons Tejashwi Yadav as Bihar Chief Minister and Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister but “both posts were not vacant.” His remark sparked strong reactions as the BJP intensified its campaign ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections 2025.

Calling the Mahagathbandhan a “thug bandhan,” Shah accused the RJD and Congress of deep-rooted corruption, citing fodder and land-for-jobs scams and alleged multi-crore scandals during previous regimes. He further questioned whether the alliance would keep Popular Front of India (PFI) operatives behind bars if voted to power, reminding the crowd that it was the NDA government that banned the outfit.

In his sharp rhetoric, Shah likened the NDA to “five Pandavas” united for Bihar’s progress, contrasting it with what he called the opposition’s “return to jungle raj.” He accused the INDIA bloc of trying to “snatch” the legacy of Karpoori Thakur, whom Prime Minister Modi honored with the Bharat Ratna. With voting scheduled in two phases on November 6 and 11 and results on November 14, Shah asserted confidence in the NDA’s “historic victory” in the upcoming elections.
