In a dramatic turn of events, MLC K. Kavitha, recently suspended from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) by party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), has made sensational allegations against her cousin and party colleague, T. Harish Rao. Kavitha, who has been at the center of a storm within the party, charged Harish Rao and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy with conspiring to divide her family and undermine her political career.
Kavitha claims that her troubles began after Harish Rao and Revanth Reddy traveled together to Delhi. She alleges that from that moment onward, her family became the target of internal conspiracies within the party. Speaking at a press conference, Kavitha made it clear that she felt targeted, stating, “I have been made the scapegoat first, and in the future, conspiracies could be hatched against BRS working president KT Rama Rao and KCR as well.”
She also posed a direct question to her brother, KT Rama Rao (KTR), asking why he did not act on her concerns regarding anti-BRS forces conspiring against her. Kavitha claimed that over 103 days had passed since she raised the issue at Telangana Bhavan, but no action was taken. Instead of addressing the issue, she was suspended from the party.
The allegations escalated when Kavitha accused her relatives and party colleagues, including Harish Rao and former MP J. Santosh Kumar, of hoarding significant amounts of gold in their homes. “Is this what ‘Bangaru Telangana’ means—two leaders hoarding gold in their homes while others suffer?” Kavitha questioned. She further criticized the leadership for misinterpreting her earlier statements about the "Bangaru Telangana" slogan raised by KCR, expressing her frustration that her words had been distorted.
Kavitha’s bold remarks have created ripples within the BRS and Telangana's political landscape, shedding light on internal party divisions and highlighting the growing rifts among family members at the top of the ruling party.
