Livermores Downtown Street Fest 2025: Music, Food, and Fun

The much-awaited Livermore Downtown Street Fest is back for 2025, taking place on May 17-18 in the heart of Livermore, California. This free, family-friendly festival promises a weekend full of live entertainment, local shopping, delicious food, and refreshing beverages. Hosted by Livermore Downtown Inc. (LDI), the event has been a cherished tradition for over 30 years. Despite its evolving format, the essence of the festival remains the same supporting small businesses and fostering community togetherness.

This year’s festival will take place along First Street and South Livermore Avenue, featuring a variety of attractions for visitors of all ages. The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The event will highlight local music, with over 12 bands scheduled to perform on two outdoor stages: Stockmen’s Park and Bankhead Plaza. Performers include Crawdad Republic, The Groovy Judy Band, and Maddy Hudson, a former “American Idol” contestant, along with tribute bands and regional talent.

For those who enjoy local beverages, wineries and breweries from the region will offer tastings. Featured participants include Altamont Beer Works, Arroyo Cellars, Rivers End Brewing Co., McGrail Vineyards, and more. Beer and wine tickets will be sold, with proceeds benefiting the LDI. The festival will also offer a wide range of vendors selling crafts, art, jewelry, and other goods. Over 120 booths will be set up for attendees to explore, ensuring a variety of items for everyone. Families with children can enjoy a kid's zone featuring games, face painting, and fun activities. Nearby vendors will offer lemonade and popcorn for the little ones.

In addition to the festival activities, Livermore's restaurants, taprooms, and boutique shops will be showcasing special deals and festival-specific menus to welcome both locals and visitors. Festival-goers will have easy access to free parking at Stockmen’s Park, 216 Maple St., and the adjacent I Street Garage.

As the festival draws in thousands, road closures will affect First Street, McLeod, J, and K streets, along with South Livermore Avenue, starting at 1 a.m. on May 17. However, the Wheels Bus is offering free rides on Rapid routes 10R and 30R for attendees to navigate to and from the event. For those attending, the event's focus on community and local culture makes it a perfect destination for a weekend of fun and exploration in downtown Livermore. Sunday’s farmer’s market will also take place on Second Street, adding to the day’s vibrant atmosphere.
