Air India Express student fare discount adds more savings

Air India Express has introduced a special student travel offer ahead of the festive season, giving eligible passengers a 10% discount on domestic Value fares. The offer is available until October 20, 2026 through the airline’s booking channels.

Along with the Air India Express student fare discount, students booking directly through the airline’s website or mobile app can change their travel date for Rs 99. This can be useful for students whose travel plans may shift because of exams, college schedules or holidays.

Air India Express is also giving customers an additional 5% discount on domestic and international bookings made directly through its website or app using the VIBES code, subject to applicable terms and conditions.

Air India Express student baggage allowance rises to 25 kg

One of the biggest benefits of the offer is the Air India Express student baggage allowance. Eligible students can carry up to 25 kg instead of the usual 15 kg, providing an additional 10 kg of baggage at no extra cost.

Students must be at least 12 years old to qualify. They also need to carry a valid student photo ID issued by a recognised educational institution. The ID should include the student’s name and date of birth and must be shown during check-in at the airport.

The airline is also running a separate Visa card promotion. Travellers using eligible Visa debit or credit cards can get up to Rs 600 off domestic and international flight bookings with the VISAFLY code. That offer remains valid until October 9, 2026.

For students travelling home during the festive period or returning to college with additional luggage, the combination of lower fares, extra baggage and cheaper date changes may make the offer useful. Travellers should still review the fare conditions and promotional terms before booking.
